My art is a mirror to reflect myself and the audience, focusing perceptions as a commonality beyond boundaries. I have been inspired to depict states of mind by drawing and painting, exploring connections with the audience. My artwork is a portrait of mind, a state of mind to allow the audience to experience the artwork with their perceptions. People sometimes change how they perceive things and life also changes.

 

I currently research to represent feeling emptiness based on the Japanese concept of "Ma (間)" meaning gap, interval and void between  something. I believe perceptions of emptiness connect people through the artworks. My creation aims to convey "Ma" to reflect states of mind of the artist and viewers between fragmented time and space in everyday life.
